Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to customers in more than 70 countries. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their five market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.


Location: Tifton, GA-100% Onsite

This Mechanical Engineer III designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems. The person in this position may also provide work leadership for lower level employees.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval.
  • Technical responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development.
  • Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.
  • Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least 5 years related experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Experience with analytical and CAD software.
  • Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $96,800 - $127,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10-11 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
