Department: Manufacturing / Production FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Production Supervisor Position Overview The Heat Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining heat press machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production runs efficiently, safely, and at required quality standards while meeting output expectations. Key Competencies Strong attention to detail Basic understanding of production and plant processes Analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using various units of measurement Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work effectively in a team environment Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early or late hours, weekends, and overtime as needed Essential Job Functions Set up heat press machinery for production runs Start, operate, and adjust machinery to maintain optimal performance Monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality and efficiency Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance Conduct quality checks and follow established reporting and recordkeeping procedures Identify and report production or equipment issues to the supervisor Comply with all company safety policies and applicable health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area Physical Demands Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required Ability to lift and move equipment or materials as needed Work Environment Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and heat Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
