Job description

Trans-Tech is the leading designer and manufacturer of RF and microwave components that help our world communicate, discover, create, protect, explore, and more. We supply advanced materials, ferrites and magnetic materials, dielectrics, ceramic bandpass filters, coaxial resonators, and coaxial inductors.

 Technical Operator (Press Machine Operator):

This position involves the set up and operation of presses in the forming process of ceramic component production. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines
  • Loading presses with ceramic materials 
  • Performing manual assembly and equipment operation and working with the aid of tools for handling small parts
  • Reading process sheets, following written work instructions and following verbal instructions to perform production tasks
  • Checking and inspecting products against predetermined tolerances
  • Maintaining accurate records written and electronically
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Job Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and computer skills (keyboarding and email)
  • Ability to follow read and interpret work instructions as well as follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Good communication skills
  • Being self-motivated and a team player who takes ownership and demonstrates accountability

Preferred Skills:

  • 2-3 years related experience
  • Experience working with measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers

Work schedule:

Regular schedule will be 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday-Friday).
