Job description

In addition to the below, the ideal candidate will also have operational experience overseeing daily health data functions, including medical record integrity and Release of Information (ROI).  This includes Operational Workflow & Administration, Day-to-Day Oversight: Manage daily operations for health records, transcription, coding, and document imaging.
 

Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of Imaging Systems and enterprise-wide chart management to include staffing and maintenance for organizational and functional integrity. Provides plans and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficiency of processing and accuracy of the electronic medical records. Oversees equipment use and maintenance to enhance quality of images.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, business, computer science, or other related field or currently licensed as a Registered Health Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

Licensure: Certified Registered Health Technologist(RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator(RHIA).

Experience:  One (1) year experience in Health Information Management or systems applications in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Experience with Healthcare software applications and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of Health Information Management operations. Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer relations. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Licensure: N/A

Experience: Experience with HBOC software, SSI, McKesson Patient Horizon Folder or 3M information systems; and Current EHR or Imaging Systems.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology. Advanced skills in HBOC system maintenance and management functionality. Proficient knowledge of data system tables and maintenance. Knowledge of SSI software functionality. Proficient abilities in using 3M Encoder/Grouper.
