Job description

Healthcare Software Specialist| Grand Rapids, MI| Full Time

The Program Coordinator develops, coordinates, and oversees community-based programs at Resource Village that support residents of Eastpointe Commons and the surrounding community. Working under the guidance of the Director of Community Workforce Development, this role helps ensure programs align with Hope Network's mission, create positive participant experiences, and connect individuals with resources that support personal growth, stability, and success.

What You’ll Do

    • Work closely with service providers to implement, maintain and seek continuous improvement on Hope Network’s EHR systems.
    • Proactively applies project management principles.
    • Travels between worksites and external locations to attend meetings, trainings, or provide operational support.
    • Performs, or supervises, configuration or customization and implementation of new systems/components according to Hope Network’s priorities.
    • Works with Hope Network IT and relevant vendors to identify and solve problems/challenges as they arise.
    • Coordinates process mapping and alignment meetings, using remote meeting or in-person technology, at the service lines as needed and required to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the EHR.
    • Responsible to provide regular and "as needed" progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
    • Develops a thorough understanding of the EHR systems to help facilitate process alignment and software development, configuration, or customization.
    • Coordinates EHR testing using remote meeting or in-person technology as needed.
    • Develops a working knowledge of industry standards and best practices as they relate to the EHR that will be used in the on-going education of Hope Network staff.
    • Coordinates EHR end user trainings using remote meeting or in-person technology and monitor Hope Network compliance with said trainings.
    • Assists in the creation and ongoing administration of EHR Billing Best Practices and Internal Audit controls.
    • Works collaboratively with Hope Network Quality Department personnel to generate, align, and utilize reports to support decision making.
    • Works collaboratively with the Hope Network Compliance Department personnel to develop and align audits to ensure data integrity, input timeliness and HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
    • Works collaboratively with clinical and revenue management stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain relevant functional areas to further the Hope Network mission.
    • Contributes to the development and implementation of the EHR when additional organizations become an affiliate member with Hope Network.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (equivalent years of relevant experience will be accepted).
    • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in health care or human service field.
    • Must have a high degree of self-direction and ability to manage tasks to completion, and meet deadline in a fast –paced ever changing work environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to foresee and proactively seek out the requirements and solutions that enable Hope Network to achieve its organizational goals.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats, with both technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision in daily tasks and special projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead project teams and to accomplish goals within approved budgets.
