Job Summary
DSI is hiring for Healthcare Security Officers in Huntsville, AL! Come join a diverse and inclusive team that believes in providing excellent customer service and knows that its biggest asset is its employees.
Training & Security Academy Requirement
All Healthcare Security Officers must successfully complete an onsite, paid 4-week Security Academy in Huntsville, AL prior to independent post assignment. Officers must be able to commute to Huntsville for the full four weeks to attend this training, which is designed to prepare them for healthcare-specific environments, safety procedures, and professional standards. All must pass a physical assessment test and must be exposed to pepper spray & taser in order to complete all certifications.
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by performing general security duties.
  • Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
  • Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, including specific post instructions.
  • Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI's safety manual.
  • Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
  • Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
  • Work effectively in all weather conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Military or law enforcement background, or a minimum of 5 years verifiable security experience.
  • Reliable means of transportation and communication.
  • Must pass all pre-employment requirements.
