Seeking a Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst to provide advanced analytics focused on understanding and improving healthcare utilization, outcomes, provider performance, and medical cost management. This role develops analytical solutions supporting patient-level healthcare insights, risk-adjusted revenue optimization, population health initiatives, and strategic decision-making. The analyst will partner with business stakeholders and IT to design predictive models, perform complex analytics, and deliver actionable business intelligence.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 4 years of healthcare analytics, healthcare IT, or management consulting experience
  • Healthcare industry experience (required)
  • Strong experience building predictive models
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. healthcare delivery system in a payer or provider environment
  • Experience using SQL and one or more analytical tools such as SAS, R, Python, or Tableau
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience translating business requirements into analytical models and business intelligence solutions
  • Experience performing descriptive and advanced statistical analyses
  • Experience validating data quality, completeness, and consistency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications


  • Medicare Advantage experience
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with outcome research or controlled study design
  • Advanced SAS and SAS Enterprise Miner experience
  • Understanding of provider payment methodologies
  • Population health management experience
  • Risk adjustment experience
  • Knowledge of commercial risk optimization and Medicare Advantage risk optimization
  • Experience with clinical grouping methodologies including DRG, APC, ETG, MEG, DxCG, and HCC
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics including HEDIS and AHRQ

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead selection of analytical, business intelligence, and statistical methodologies to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop predictive models, business intelligence solutions, and advanced analytical attributes
  • Analyze patient utilization, provider performance, healthcare outcomes, medical costs, and risk-adjusted revenue opportunities
  • Utilize enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and non-EDW data sources to develop analytical solutions
  • Partner with business units and IT to define business requirements and translate them into analytical models
  • Serve as the analytics advisor for cross-functional initiatives
  • Perform descriptive, predictive, and statistical analyses using advanced analytical techniques
  • Conduct peer data quality reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders
  • Support strategic planning through healthcare analytics and data-driven decision making
