Job description

Role and Responsibilities

The Data Engineer works with a high performing, fast paced, data science team utilizing cutting edge data ecosystem technology and design principles. The data science team works with every business process in the enterprise offering a unique non-siloed role working with patient experience, clinical quality, marketing, operations, finance, market research and business development.

  • Develop and maintain data ecosystem workflows, ETL, and technical processes.
  • Develop and maintain API and direct database pipeline integrations.
  • Profile data and analyze for quality assurance.
  • Produce and maintain documentation including design documents, data, process models, master data management, and data dictionaries.
  • Business Intelligence reporting and data-driven application development.
  • Optimize existing data pipeline processes and applications.
  • Contribute to KPI development, predictive, and prescriptive analytics projects.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, MIS, statistics, applied math, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a Data Engineering, Architecture, or BI Development Role required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Experience working with data in a cloud computing environment, Azure preferred.
  • Experience with database, data warehousing, and data structure design principles.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including SQL, Python, R, etc.
  • Experience analyzing data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
