Overview:
This position includes working closely with Global Client Executives, primarily focusing on client relations and service delivery to healthcare clients and new business prospects. It also includes developing and mentoring less experienced healthcare casualty colleagues who support the senior healthcare broker on their book of business. This role requires three days per week in the office. Office locations include: San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Boston. Healthcare Professional Liability experience required.
Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Assist in all phases of client relationship management and retention strategies focusing on service and delivery of EPIC resources.
โ€ข Work closely with the Casualty account team members and the Global Client Executive to service clients, including the following tasks:
o Create and submit renewal specifications to the marketplace
o Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and premiums
o Present marketing results to clients
o Review quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements for accuracy and transmit to clients
โ€ข Coordinate London/Bermuda placements with our wholesale partners
โ€ข Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters
โ€ข Keep clients abreast of marketplace developments and innovations
โ€ข Implement and maintain a quality service plan in all areas of client deliverables
โ€ข Support and grow ongoing client relationships
โ€ข Oversee the creation of certificates of insurance and auto-identification cards
โ€ข Request invoices, ensure timely payment and remittance
โ€ข Review contracts and insurance requirements for clients and identify gaps in coverage, suitability, and errors
โ€ข Assist with special projects and client requests
โ€ข Coordinate the production of renewal strategy, renewal presentation, and stewardship reports
โ€ข Assist Producers and Global Client Executives with prospect opportunities, including preparation of capabilities presentations, written RFP responses, and oral presentations
โ€ข Understand and deploy Risk Consulting Services (Claims, Loss Control & Analytics)
โ€ข Service clients' daily account needs
โ€ข Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the company at its discretion from time to time
โ€ข Contribute to the growth and development of the National Risk Management Healthcare Practice
โ€ข Attend various insurance industry events, (ASHRM, IMAC, HCIC) as requested
โ€ข Assist in the training/supervision of junior staff
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
โ€ข Comprehensive and technical understanding of healthcare professional liability coverage. Additional healthcare casualty coverages viewed positively (Workers' compensation, automobility liability, foreign liability, etc)
โ€ข Superior organizational skills and close attention to detail
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency
โ€ข Results-oriented with a substantial client service focus
โ€ข Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to foster relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurance carrier underwriting/processing departments
โ€ข Strong quantitative and analytical skills
โ€ข Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
โ€ข 10% travel may be required
โ€ข Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/assignments and communicate with team members across various offices
โ€ข Desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
โ€ข Ability to translate insurance terms into easy-to-understand explanations for clients who are not familiar with the product lines involved
โ€ข Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Credentials and Experience
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree
โ€ข Minimum of 5 years of professional liability broking experience
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
โ€ข Holds a valid P&C Broker's License(s)
โ€ข Additional related designations and experience with captives will be viewed positively
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Active Property & Casualty Broker License, with the ability to maintain required licensing through continuing education
  • Valid driver's license

The national average salary for this role is $150,000 to $175,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
