Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support operational and strategic initiatives within the healthcare industry. This role will focus on managing projects related to healthcare operations, medical insurance environments, business initiatives, operational integrations, and administrative process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience within health plans and medical insurance organizations, experience managing projects with executive stakeholder groups, and a solid understanding of healthcare business operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operational healthcare projects from initiation through execution and completion.

  • Coordinate projects related to new service implementations, operational integrations, business expansion initiatives, and healthcare operations.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership teams, operational stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to support project execution.

  • Drive projects within healthcare administration, health plans, and medical insurance operational environments.

  • Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies while providing regular status updates to executive stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and project outcomes.

  • Support the development and implementation of administrative procedures and operational workflows.

  • Facilitate meetings, document action items, and drive accountability across project teams.

General Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager.

  • Strong experience managing projects within Health Plans / Medical Insurance environments.

  • Experience managing projects and initiatives involving executive groups and senior leadership stakeholders.

  • Experience within healthcare operations environments.

  • Experience supporting healthcare administrative and operational procedures.

  • Previous experience managing business integrations, operational expansions, service implementations, or transformation initiatives is preferred.

  • Experience with process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-driven and capable of working independently while maintaining strong onsite collaboration.

  • Must be located in Puerto Rico and authorized to work as an independent contractor

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.

  • PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, for extended periods while using a computer and standard office equipment.

  • Ability to attend meetings and maintain consistent communication throughout the workday.

  • May require occasional travel within Puerto Rico based on business or project needs
