As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Youthful Minds, your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive individual and group counseling services to clients, addressing mental health concerns through evidence-based practices.
• Assisting clients with the management of their daily activities, including transportation arrangements for medical appointments and teaching public transportation skills.
• Maintaining client progress documentation, including detailed notes on counseling sessions, treatment plans, and progress reports, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for clients, providing timely updates and sharing insights.
• Teaching essential life skills to clients, such as meal planning, shopping, and cooking, to foster independence and self-sufficiency.
• Monitoring client mood and general well-being, reporting any significant changes in behavior or condition while adhering to safety protocols.
• Facilitating medication management by providing reminders, monitoring adherence, and ensuring proper medication storage.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including children and adolescents, young adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. This includes addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Our approach emphasizes cultural competency and individualized care to support the unique needs of each client, fostering an environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• A valid and active licensure in California as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite and telehealth platforms.
• A self-directed work ethic with the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

While not required, candidates with experience in geriatric care or familiarity with multicultural counseling practices will be considered favorably. Additionally, experience in team settings and a strong commitment to continuing education in the mental health field will enhance your candidacy.
