Job description

Clinical Specialist, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Location: New Haven, CT (Hybrid: remote and in-office)
Job Title: Clinical Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
About Aware Health
Aware Health is a rapidly scaling health tech startup revolutionizing musculoskeletal (MSK) care. Nearly 50% of the workforce experiences MSK pain, from acute issues like muscle strains to chronic conditions. Unfortunately, many are misdiagnosed and treated passively with opioids, injections, or surgery, often leading to unnecessary risks and costs.
At Aware Health, we empower Doctors of Physical Therapy to lead the care process, providing immediate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment to patients. You will primarily manage your diverse caseload through our cutting-edge telehealth platform, ensuring people receive high-quality care wherever they are. This is a role where you will truly practice at the top of your license, acting as the primary MSK expert, leading clinical decisions, and steering patients away from unnecessary high-cost procedures.
If you are a resourceful, high-performing PT ready to escape the limitations of traditional clinic settings and shape the future of conservative MSK care, we want you.
What Makes This Role Unique?
  • Clinical Autonomy and Direct Access Care: You will be the primary MSK expert, diagnosing and driving the care plan from day one. You lead the decision-making.
  • Dynamic Hybrid Model: Enjoy the optimal blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. This role requires 2-3 days per week in New Haven, CT (utilizing our dedicated telehealth setup) as well as working remotely from home. Additionally, expect occasional onsite days for in-person customer treatments and corporate events.
  • Be a Catalyst for Change: Join a movement focused on evidence-based, conservative care that actively combats the overuse of low-value healthcare procedures.
  • Innovative Delivery Model: Leverage cutting-edge technology and data analytics to optimize patient engagement and outcomes in a modern hybrid structure.

Compensation & Benefits: Rewarding Clinical Excellence
We offer a highly competitive total compensation package designed to recruit and retain the best clinical talent.
