  • Stay informed about the latest research in mental health to enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen skills related to services for mood disorders, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care.
  • Advocate for clients in navigating mental health stigma and accessing necessary resources for their recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapy services cater to individuals grappling with a variety of mood disorders, including those experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. We value diversity and inclusivity, working with clients from various backgrounds, including disadvantaged populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This role requires a nurturing and empathetic approach to help clients navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust-based relationships with clients and their families.
  • A nonjudgmental attitude, strong empathy, and understanding toward clientsโ€™ experiences and struggles are essential.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain organization in a remote work setting, ensuring that administrative tasks and client engagement are balanced efficiently.
Preferred Experience

Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, focusing on mood disorders, addiction or trauma-informed care is preferred. Familiarity with community resources for disadvantaged populations would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, and a retirement plan.
  • Access to professional development opportunities, including workshops and training in addiction counseling and evidence-based practices.
  • A collaborative and supportive work culture that emphasizes mentorship and skills enhancement.
  • The chance to make a significant difference in the lives of those overcoming addiction and mental health challenges.
  • Insightful resources and literature on treatment approaches for relational and mood disorders.
