Through our inpatient behavioral services and intensive outpatient programs, Oceans Healthcare offers comprehensive behavioral and mental health services to help patients at every stage of the healing process. The Healthcare Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, patient care, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth across Oceans Healthcare. This position partners with executive leadership, hospital operations, clinical services, corporate departments, and external stakeholders to successfully plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate projects that support the organization's mission and strategic objectives. The Healthcare Project Manager provides structured project leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and execution through implementation and post-project evaluation while ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and with measurable organizational outcomes. This role serves as a trusted partner to organizational leaders by facilitating collaboration, removing barriers, managing risks, and promoting accountability across multiple departments and facilities.
Essential Functions:
  1. Lead multiple enterprise projects simultaneously across hospitals, outpatient programs, physician services, and corporate departments.
  2. Develop comprehensive project charters, implementation plans, work breakdown structures, timelines, budgets, and communication plans.
  3. Establish project goals, deliverables, milestones, and success metrics in collaboration with executive sponsors.
  4. Coordinate project resources while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities.
  5. Monitor project progress and proactively address barriers to successful implementation.
  6. Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
  7. Manage organizational initiatives supporting clinical operations, quality improvement, patient experience, workforce development, technology implementation, facility expansion, and operational excellence.
  8. Coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for implementing strategic initiatives.
  9. Assist leadership in prioritizing projects based on organizational impact, resource availability, and strategic value.
  10. Support mergers, acquisitions, hospital openings, service line expansion, and enterprise growth initiatives as assigned.
  11. Facilitate enterprise standardization of operational processes across multiple facilities.
  12. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned initiatives.
  13. Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, financial, quality, and operational objectives.
  14. Evaluate project outcomes using measurable operational, financial, clinical, and patient experience metrics.
  15. Prepare executive dashboards and project status reports.
  16. Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  17. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible project management experience within healthcare or another complex, highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
  • Experience developing project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and organizational resources.
  • Experience presenting project updates and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare, hospital operations, or multi-site healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Skills / Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and behavioral health service delivery.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data to support decision-making.
  • Strong facilitation and meeting management skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority while building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

Work Environment:
Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Travel required, including via automobile, planes and/or trains, as required.
