Job description

Overview
  • The HSDiT program is an advancement opportunity for Oakmont team members
  • Members are trained by department heads at the community level
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a team as a Health Services Director
  • Complete department training and gain on-the-job experience under a current Health Services Director
  • Program provides customized leadership training to motivated individuals
Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Minimum of six months in current position at Oakmont
  • Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse
  • One (1) year experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
  • All candidates will need to have a California LVN or RN License in good standing
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the state during training process
  • Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
  • Prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Passion for serving older adults
  • Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
  • Proficient in basic computer systems
  • Ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Able to adapt and respond to change
  • Must be coachable and highly motivated
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
Core Competencies

Demonstrates strong clinical leadership capabilities with a focus on team management and mentoring within a residential care environment. Holds a valid California LVN or RN License and is proficient in electronic health records and basic computer systems.
