Commerce, GA
Are you a hands-on safety professional who enjoys building strong safety programs, coaching employees, and creating a culture where safety is part of everyday operations?
DP World is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within our operation. This role will be responsible for coordinating safety programs, conducting training, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.
What You'll Do
As the Health & Safety Supervisor, you will work closely with employees and operational leadership to identify potential hazards, strengthen safety practices, and maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of company safety programs
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training for new hires, agency employees, contractors, visitors, and transferred employees
  • Monitor changes to safety regulations, laws, and reporting requirements
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct facility, machinery, and equipment inspections to identify and correct potential safety hazards
  • Review workplace injuries and incidents, support investigations, and follow up on corrective actions
  • Recommend process and equipment improvements that reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards
  • Support safety audits and work with auditors and vendors to resolve findings and compliance concerns
  • Assist with the development of safe work procedures and provide ongoing safety recommendations
  • Support EHS activities during new facility launches
  • Review plans for new machinery, equipment, and processes to ensure safety requirements are met
  • Serve as a member of the First Aid/CPR Responder/ERT team

What We're Looking For
  • Experience supporting health and safety programs within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and workplace safety requirements
  • Experience conducting safety training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Ability to identify workplace hazards and recommend effective corrective actions
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with employees, operations leadership, vendors, and auditors
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment with a strong focus on safety and compliance

About the Role
How you will contribute
  • Assist in the identification, development and administration of company safety training programs.
  • Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements. Providing technical safety and health support and information to all employees.
  • Coordinate and administer safety training initiatives for the company to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Administer mandatory environmental, health and safety training and ensure all newly hired employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors and transferred employees receive proper training.
  • Assist with the enforcement of regulatory regulations and company policies.Assist with launches of new facilities in relation to EHS programs
  • Ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Ensure employees operate in a safe, orderly, and clean environment. Involved in the development of work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Review injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary.
  • Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance. This will include property in and around the facility.
  • Review plans and specifications for development of new machinery, equipment or processes to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
  • Serve as a member of the First Aid/CPR Responder/ERT teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
