Job description

Overview
Our Division Safety and Health Manager, part of the Orkin Division staff, partners with the Rollins Safety Team to drive a reduction in auto, workers' compensation, and general liability claims. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to regions and branches by implementing Orkin safety strategies, reviewing incidents to identify root causes, and sharing lessons learned across the Division.
Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve safety performance metrics (e.g., CFR, IFR, TRIR).
  • Ensure Division-wide compliance with safety training and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to determine root causes and share lessons learned.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual safety training, including OSHA, DOT, driver safety, fumigation safety, and new initiatives/technology launches.
  • Support low-performing branches and regions with corrective action and safety business plans.
  • Advise Division President and Region Managers on safety processes, risk assessments, and compliance matters.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies on inspections, compliance issues, and employee safety concerns.
  • Conduct periodic branch and field evaluations to ensure adherence to safety policies and escalate improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and communicate knowledge of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor safety and compliance metrics, incident investigations, OSHA recordkeeping, and corrective actions.
  • Coach and guide branches on implementing compliance programs and training content.
  • Participate in Safety Team and management meetings, providing relevant updates and support.
  • Partner with leadership to embed safety into operational culture

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS compliance, preferably in pest control or a service industry.
  • ASP, GSP, CSP, or equivalent certification preferred (BCSP).
  • Proven experience in field safety with a distributed workforce.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and proactively address safety issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA 1910 regulations and EHS compliance practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Ability to travel to branches, field sites, and contractor locations as needed.
