NASM Club Connect Training Resources Specific Duties and Tasks
  • Serves as the site lead, developing, planning and coordinating implementation of all activities of the health promotion program at the installation level.
  • Conduct wellness screenings, educational classes, incentive programs, and health fairs.
  • Perform services such as finger sticks and other biometric measurements including height, weight, BMI/body composition, and blood pressure.
  • Educate participants on health awareness and lifestyle modification.
  • Provide orientation and training to new staff and communicate on new policies or changes in procedures.
  • Ensure that programs are staffed according to the scope of work and that work schedules are modified to meet fluctuating workloads.
  • Evaluate programs and provide progress reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of health promotion topics to keep health education program material current, and coordinate and/or ensure supplies, equipment, and files are maintained in properly secured storage.
  • Provide excellent written and oral communication skills when working with internal and external customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the contractor PM.
  • Support mobile worksite events as applicable.
Minimum Recommended Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Health Education or related field.
  • Three (3) yearsโ€™ experience working with a Health Promotion Program.
  • One (1) year management experience of a Health Promotion Program and at least one (1) year supervisory experience if the specific position tasks for a supervisory role.
  • Must possess current CPR/AED/first aid certifications.
  • May require or need to obtain an additional certification based on specific customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NASM Wellness Coach Certification
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
