Job description

Student Health and Well-Being is seeking a Program Coordinator for Health Promotion and Well-Being Operations. This role is critical in supporting operations across two defined Health Promotion and Well-Being unit locations as well as several ad hoc programming sites across JHU campuses. The role is highly mobile and responsive, requiring flexibility to deploy to other campus locations to support cross-site operational needs and projects.

The Program Coordinator's help ensures programmatic and learning optimization, including procuring and organizing event materials, transporting supplies between sites, supporting event set-up and room reservations, utilizing event and communication platforms such as Hopkins Groups and the HUB, and completing time-sensitive tasks that ensure in-person and online operations are functional. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Serve as initial point of contact for Health Promotion and Well-Being's Homewood location and partner with the associate director who is on-site in East Baltimore to support resolution of logistical, facilities, and systems issues. While the role is based on the Homewood campus, it will occasionally need to provide on-site support at other campuses during high-volume times.

Deploy across HPWB sites to support logistical operations, including transporting purchased goods between locations and coordinating and supporting events. Monitor and proactively manage office needs for the Health Promotion & Well-Being Office suites. Ensure timely processing and submission of a range of business functions that interface with University Student Services human resources, finance, IT, procurement, and facilities teams.

Coordinate with staff on the hiring and ongoing payment and supervision processes for student employees. Independently manage complex calendars and meeting schedules based on an understanding of shifting priorities. Provide backup support for administrative functions and special projects in the vice provost's office and Student Disability Services unit as needed.

Contribute to goal setting and identify program operational requirements to meet programmatic objectives. Obtain and utilize internal and external resources to meet program goals. Serve as primary contact for the program with internal departments and external organizations.

Identify and resolve programmatic problems. Assist with planning events and coordinate preparation, set up, and logistics for events/ functions. Coordinate communication activities via websites, social media channels, and publication materials as needed.

Ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate reporting of program activities. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Coordinate activities for the SHWB Chief Medical Director which may include but is not limited to scheduling and making travel arrangements as needed, arranging standing and ad-hoc meetings with SHWB/primary care providers, staff, and University and Hospital executives, and external contacts. Additionally, track and conduct meeting follow up.

Triage and manage information flow and priorities by flagging important action items and timelines and prioritizing and facilitating decision points. Exercise independent judgment to rank and prioritize meeting requests and timelines. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Qualifications & Specialized Certifications Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or graduation equivalent. Four years progressively responsible administrative experience.

Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree.
