Overview

Dental Financial Insurance Coordinator - Brea & Yorba Linda Endodontics 

We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Dental Financial Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, managing claims and pre authorizations, and serving as a key point of contact for patients regarding their insurance benefits. Your attention to detail and strong understanding of dental insurance will help ensure accurate billing and a smooth, positive financial experience for our patients.

This position also supports the front desk at our Yorba Linda location. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, scheduling patients, and helping ensure an efficient and welcoming experience for patients and team members.

Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm


Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
  • Submit insurance claims and pre-authorizations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve denials or discrepancies
  • Educate patients on their insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the billing team to ensure proper coding and documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient insurance records within the practice management system
  • Respond to patient and insurance inquiries regarding claims and coverage
  • Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with billing-related tasks and support front desk duties as needed
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working with dental insurance
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology, claims processes, and EOBs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dental codes and common insurance plans
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
