Job Purpose
Welldoc is seeking a technically-minded intern this summer to join our clinical team, focusing specifically on PowerShell scripting and meticulous clinical content testing. This hybrid position requires up to 40 hours per week, with mandatory on-site collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays and remote flexibility on remaining weekdays.
The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate or currently pursuing a Master's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems/Technology, Comp Sci, Biomedical Engineering or a Health Science field, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment, applying strong skills to automate workflows and ensure the rigorous accuracy of our digital health applications. This internship offers comprehensive, hands-on experience with clinical, product and engineering teams, bridging the gap between technical execution and clinical innovation.
Responsibilities
  • Carefully review clinical content and application builds to find bugs, typos, or logic errors before they reach the users.
  • Use and adapt PowerShell scripts to help the team update and maintain clinical content in the Content Management System (CMS).
  • Utilize tools like Google Suite and Microsoft Teams to track tasks and collaborate with the product team on active projects.
  • Attend in-person and virtual meetings to learn how clinical, technical, and product teams work together.
  • Create simple "how-to" notes for any scripts or testing processes you develop to help the team stay organized.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Comfortable writing or running simple PowerShell scripts (or be a quick learner who enjoys coding to solve problems).
  • Strong testing skills with a commitment to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel for organizing data and tracking testing results.
  • Ability to explain technical issues or testing findings clearly in writing and in person.
  • Work independently on scripts but isn't afraid to ask questions when stuck.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.
Required Education
    • Recently graduated or currently pursuing a Master's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a Health Science field with a strong interest or minor in technical scripting.

Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process. This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company's customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws. The anticipated salary range for this position is $20-25/hour.
