Job Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
To be fully engaged in providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior Quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences and Financial Stewardship as the custodian of all keys issued throughout Health First.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
  1. Watches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  2. Is the custodian of all electronic access key locks/pads and warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
  3. Develops and maintains an accurate inventory database of all issued keys.
  4. Observes departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate requirements.
  5. Develops and maintains an accurate inventory database of all electronic access codes issued.
  6. Provides assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  7. Receives electronic key requests and completes requests in a timely manner.
  8. Responsible contact person when keys are issued and returned.
  9. Maintains accurate recordkeeping for the key requests and receipts.
  10. Performs other duties as requested by Director of Security or his/her designee.

Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Trade School or High School Diploma.
  • Work Experience:
  1. Minimum two (2) years of on-the-job training.
  2. One (1) year in basic locksmith services.
  • Licensure: Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Report and maintained.
  • Certification: At least one (1) of the following certifications within thirty (30) days of start date.
  1. American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course OR
  2. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  1. Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
  2. Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
  3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  4. Active listening skills.
  5. Familiarity with one or more of the following systems:
  6. Hubman software,
  7. Alarm Lock software,
  8. Trilogy Cipher Locks,
  9. LS Cipher
  10. Locks, or Best Cipher and Locking Systems
  11. Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  12. Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
  13. Attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
  • May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
  • May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.
  • May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
  • May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.
  • May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
