PT Mental Health Technician

HRO of Seaside - Zachary, LA

Overview:

Healthcare Residential Options (HRO) are seeking compassionate and skilled PT Mental Health Technicians to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing routine and assigned tasks, as well as assisting the nursing department in carrying out patient care activities. Responsibilities:

  • Perform direct care duties to assist patients in maintaining personal dignity and safety

  • Participate as a member of the treatment team in the implementation of the multi-disciplinary treatment plan

  • Provide driving/transportation and patient escort services

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 0-1 year of related experience preferred

  • Ability to work under close supervision with distractions/demanding patients and to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all departments

  • Knowledge of basic first aid required

  • Knowledge of program policies and procedures regarding infection control and sanitation

  • Ability to complete assignments accurately, in a timely manner, and within procedural guidelines

  • Organizes and prioritizes work

Physical Effort Requirement:
