Location: Various locations across Alberta The Health Information Technician is responsible for managing and organizing health information data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and security. This role plays a key part in maintaining patient records and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, and maintain patient health information and medical records.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of health records. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA. Participate in audits to verify the integrity of health information.

Work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate the exchange of patient information. Train staff on proper documentation practices and health information management. Requirements Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field; certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
