Job Description:

At Next Level Medical, we believe that nutrition plays an essential role in overall health and well-being. Our Health Coach works closely with patients to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans and promote healthy lifestyle choices. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Health Coach helps patients achieve their health goals through evidence-based nutrition counseling and support. Our Health Coaches embody our core values of Service-Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled 1:1 virtual health coaching appointments with patients 
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and evidence-based behavior change techniques to help patients identify goals and create sustainable action plans 
  • Support patients in developing healthier lifestyle habits related to nutrition, activity, wellness, and overall health goals 
  • Build strong patient relationships through encouragement, accountability, and consistent follow-up 
  • Maintain a consistent coaching cadence with assigned patient caseloads, including follow-up scheduling and no-show outreach 
  • Document patient interactions, progress, goals, and care plans accurately within the care platform 
  • Recognize when patient needs fall outside the scope of health coaching and appropriately refer to the Registered Dietitian, CDCES, or other clinical team members 
  • Communicate patient concerns, barriers, or potential red flags to the appropriate team members 
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated patient care 
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to remain current on health coaching best practices

Pay Range:

The salary range for the Health Coach position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

FLSA Status:

This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Requirements

  • Active National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBHWC) credential preferred 
  • Experience conducting structured 1:1 coaching sessions

  • Comfortable utilizing virtual/telehealth platforms 
  • Strong documentation skills with clear written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
