Position Summary:

The Float Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple CAMcare sites, including health centers and affiliated senior living facilities. This position requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a collaborative spirit to ensure continuity of services during staffing shortages, PTO coverage, or surges in patient volume.

Clinical Care โ€“ Health Centers
  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with CAMcare's protocols and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures; offer culturally sensitive patient education.
  • Administer immunizations, medications, and injections safely and accurately.
  • Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care in high-volume environments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Support infection control, chronic disease management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Senior Living Facility Duties
  • Conduct scheduled wellness visits and as-needed assessments at designated senior living facilities.
  • Monitor and manage residents' chronic and acute medical needs.
  • Perform medication reconciliation and provide health coaching and education to residents and families.
  • Collaborate with CAMcare providers and facility staff to coordinate care plans.
  • Communicate clinical updates and recommendations to families and caregivers.
Float Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical coverage across CAMcare's Primary Care, Pediatrics, and Women's Health departments.
  • Monitor clinical pools to assist in completion of prior authorizations, prescription requests and clinical data entry as assigned
  • Fill in for RNs who are on leave or during periods of increased patient demand.
  • Quickly adapt to varying site-specific workflows and team dynamics.
  • Serve as a reliable resource in maintaining operational stability and service excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' clinical nursing experience preferred, ideally in ambulatory or FQHC settings.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations and electronic health records (EHRs) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.
