Job description

Position Overview

Dove Healthcare seeks an RN Infection Control Manager to oversee infection control programs at the West Eau Claire and South Eau Claire locations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with appropriate staff to track infection control screening and employee illness, ensuring compliance with return-to-work policies and procedures.
  • Perform surveillance of facility infectious disease and antibiotic use.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual influenza program.
  • Conduct annual TB risk assessments and N95 fit testing for staff members.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure that infection prevention and control standards for residents and employees are present and in compliance.
  • Provide information regarding new standards and changes in infection prevention and control practices to the facility management team.
  • Communicate state alerts, regulatory changes, and CDC information to the Director of Nursing and facility staff.
  • Manage residents on precautions and ensure appropriate interventions are in place for their infectious processes.
  • Manage outbreaks, lead outbreak meetings, and set parameters to control outbreaks in the facility.
  • Coordinate and manage the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.
  • Perform quality improvement audits/competencies for all staff to assure compliance with facility policy, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop action plans to address trends identified in audits in conjunction with the appropriate department head.
  • Perform skills check-offs and training for employees.
Required Qualifications
  • Current licensure in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse.
  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Effective problem‑solving and communication skills and a passion to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • CDC Infection Prevention online course (will be provided if not already certified).
