PFC Spa/Health Club Attendant

Salary Range $17.50 - $18.38 Hourly Position Type Full-Time Seasonal Job Shift Any

Description

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Starting wage $17.50 – $18.38, adjusted based on experience
  • Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

The Pico Fitness Center is a welcoming fitness facility featuring a 75' indoor lap pool, aerobic equipment, strength training equipment and a variety of fitness classes for all levels. Classes are offered six days a week and include yoga, full body conditioning, flexibility exercise, suspension training and water fitness.

The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for members and potential members at PFC. You are responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and friendly environment that encourages regular gym usage and member retention. The job includes general administrative tasks, promoting the gym's services, answering members' questions, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and keeping the equipment organized.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Opening duties; unlocking the facility, turning off the alarm checking that pool equipment is functioning properly, turning on lights, fans, TVs Music.
  • Greet members and guests upon arrival and assist them as necessary.
  • Manage member check-ins and monitor gym access through RTP.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Assist in membership sign-ups, cancellations, and updating member account information through RTP.
  • Provide information about gym classes, services, and policies.
  • Handle process payments for memberships through RTP.
  • Keep the facility clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with gym tours for potential members and guests.
  • Resolve member issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Help with pool reservations
  • Testing and recording pool chemical levels
  • Safely adding chemicals to the pool as instructed by PFC Coordinator or pool professional.
  • Perform administrative tasks including tracking pool use, tracking class attendance, recording pool chemical levels and other administrative duties as assigned by management.
  • Shoveling to make sure access and egress is clear of snow and ice.
  • Closing duties; locking the building, turning off lights, fans, TV's music, setting the alarm
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience in a health club preferred
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with internal staff and guests in a pleasant manner
  • Reliable transportation

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and variable shift times
  • Ability to monitor and enforce liquor policy
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
