Job description

The Healthcare Senior Project Manager position should hold ASHE certification or equivalent healthcare-focused education. They should have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple healthcare projects. They need to be able to navigate active healthcare environments, phased construction schedules, and regulatory requirements. They should be fluent in owner and contractor coordination, healthcare construction standards, and patient-safety-driven project execution.

ย SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Responsible for successfully completing projects in accordance with established goals in terms of budget, quality and schedule. Evaluates project scope and completes proposals, costs and budgets with accuracy.ย  Develop project plans to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager serves as the principal point of contact and must coordinate between all stakeholders on the project, both internally and externally from preconstruction and throughout the healthcare construction activities.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Lead the execution of multiple projects through healthcare preconstruction activities and phases.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with leadership, owners and architects throughout the phases of the projects

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Plan, direct and coordinate activities throughout all phases of designated projects to ensure projects progress on schedule, on-time completion and within budget and funding parameters.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare, review and submit project proposals, job estimates, construction drawings and specifications to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources and equipment to various phases of project.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Coordinate and obtain Building, Erosion Control and Dewatering permits as needed.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Manage changes in project plan or scope of work and complete project estimates and pricing.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Work closely and facilitate project execution with Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Management Assistants, Project Engineers, Owners, Architects, subcontractors.ย  Provides regular updates and constant feedback on project progress.ย 

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist in the resolution of disputes with Owners, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare a variety of project update reports and attend regular construction and project management meetings.ย 

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Review and approve invoices, submit pay applications, complete job cost adjustments, issue subcontracts/purchase orders and change orders related to each project.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  May manage and oversee other Project Managers.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist marketing and business development for obtaining new business through client relations and industry contacts.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist with estimating and budgeting of conceptual and negotiated projects

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct quarterly job cost forecast analysis.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Adhere to safety and quality programs with each project.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelorโ€™s degree in construction management or related field.ย  Or, an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Project Management Certification.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ASHE certification or equivalent healthcare-focused education would be preferred.

ยปย  ย  ย 10+ Years related work or internship experience, preferably in the healthcare construction field

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Must be able to read drawings, interpret codes, and be familiar with all phases of building design.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to efficiently manage multiple healthcare projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.ย 

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Train, coach and develop other Project Managers, Project Engineers and Field Engineers.

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong Preconstruction and/or Estimating skills

ยปย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Valid driverโ€™s license with clean driving record with ability to travel to project and work sites
