Lab Technician (MLT/LVN/CLS) – Mobile | Evening Shift
Location: San Leandro, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Pay: $26.00 – $32.00/hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Evenings)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Point of Care Lab Technician to perform waived laboratory testing in a mobile setting. This role combines lab work, patient interaction, and mobility—ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and autonomy.

⚠️ Important: You must pick up and return the company van at the San Leandro location for every shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform point-of-care lab testing (Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, etc.)
  • Conduct venipuncture and capillary blood collection
  • Enter patient data and test orders into lab systems
  • Monitor quality control and ensure accurate test results
  • Handle specimen processing and documentation
  • Maintain lab equipment and troubleshoot issues
  • Support STAT testing turnaround times
  • Drive mobile lab van to service locations

Requirements

  • MUST have one of the following:
    • MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician)
    • LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse)
    • CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist)
  • Active California license (as applicable)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle (required)
  • Familiarity with lab workflows and testing procedures
  • COVID-19 vaccination (or approved exemption)

Preferred

  • Experience in phlebotomy and lab testing
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

⚠️ Important Notes

  • No Phlebotomists – must hold MLT, LVN, or CLS credentials
  • Mobile role with driving required each shift
  • Exposure to clinical/lab environments (training provided)
