Job description

Behavioral Health Attendant

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is looking for team members who will help advance our vision to be the premier hospital of choice for patients, physicians and employees. IMC is currently hiring a Behavioral Health Attendant, who working under the supervision and guidance of professional staff, the Behavioral Health Attendant provides observation of patients and when appropriate, performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patient.

Education:

  • High school graduate.

Training And Experience:

  • Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Job Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
  • CPR

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
  • Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
  • Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
  • Consistently lives by Iberia Medical Centers Standards of Performance.
  • Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
  • Assists patients with eating, mobility, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assists staff with obtaining and recording vital signs.
