Job description

We are looking for: 

  • The Corporate H&S Manager will drive Syensqo's strategic health and safety vision across the organization. This leader will reinforce a culture of excellence in both occupational and process safety, deploying a data-driven approach to performance, leveraging digital tools, and championing impactful, people-centric safety practices. Operating in a decentralized model, with safety improvement responsibility close to teams in the business units, the Corporate H&S Manager ensures robust governance, capability building, and high-impact central programs across our businesses. By empowering business and site leadership and shaping a shared culture of accountability, this role supports Syensqo's ambition to be recognized for its world-class HSE standards. You'll report directly to the Group Head of Health, Safety, & Environmental Sustainability.

We count on you for: 

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the company-wide strategy for Occupational and Process Safety, aligned with the Group's ambition.
  • Lead a small team of subject matter experts on hygiene and safety and collaborate through GBU H&S organizations to drive global implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a thought leader and internal influencer to instill a shared safety vision across geographies and business units.

Performance and Governance

  • Strengthen safety governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry best practices, and evolving regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance using digital dashboards and predictive analytics, identifying trends and proactively mitigating emerging risks.
  • Oversee Group-level audits and critical incident reviews to ensure learning and accountability.

Capability Building and Culture

  • Foster a strong culture of safety ownership through cross-functional collaboration, coaching, and recognition.
  • Promote knowledge sharing alignment across GBUs through expert networks and targeted training programs.
  • Drive targeted upskilling & act as a sponsor for safety leadership development initiatives. 

Digital Enablement

  • Leverage digital tools and platforms to improve incident tracking, root cause analysis, and safety data transparency.
  • Guide the development and deployment of innovative technologies to enhance safety processes and outcomes.

You will bring: 

  • Minimum 15 years of experience, in Health & Safety, with strong exposure to both occupational and process safety in complex industrial chemical environments.
  • Proven strategic leadership and influencing in a decentralized organization.
  • Skilled in data interpretation and use of digital tools to drive safety performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and coaching approach.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
