Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time Warm/Hot Header to join our state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be proficient in induction heating, set-up procedures, and possess extensive experience as a Headerman. This position plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain warm and hot heading equipment, including induction heating systems, to produce precision aerospace components
  • Set up, adjust, and optimize heading machines for various production runs, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality
  • Monitor and control the induction heating process to achieve precise temperatures and material properties
  • Perform regular quality checks and inspections on produced parts to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to heading equipment, induction heating systems, and production processes
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve production processes and implement new technologies
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
  • Train and mentor junior operators on proper heading techniques and equipment operation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Warm/Hot Header in aerospace or related manufacturing industries
  • Extensive knowledge of induction heating processes and equipment
  • Proven expertise in setting up and operating heading machines for various materials and part geometries
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment processes relevant to aerospace materials
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and quality requirements (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Experience with computerized control systems and data logging software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant post-secondary education is a plus
