This full-time remote position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to individuals and families through telehealth modalities. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for helping others, we invite you to be part of our mission to enhance mental health care accessibility across the country.

About the Organization

Head Start Youth Counseling Center is committed to fostering a healthier society by integrating mental and physical healthcare services. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to lead fulfilling lives through access to trusted, personalized, and affordable mental health care. We offer flexible scheduling options, supporting both full-time and part-time opportunities tailored to your personal and professional needs. Our hybrid model of care includes both telehealth and, as appropriate, in-person consultations, ensuring you can meet the needs of your clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy plans for clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy—to address the mental health needs of individuals, families, and groups.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions remotely, ensuring adaptation of approaches to fit the telehealth environment while maintaining engagement.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide holistic treatment and facilitate client progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain at the forefront of mental health advancements.

Our client population primarily consists of children, adolescents, and families facing a range of behavioral and emotional challenges. We focus on delivering compassionate care that respects each client's unique background and circumstances. This position allows you to make a significant impact on the mental well-being of young individuals and their families in Smyrna and beyond.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical context.
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards related to counseling practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment and contribute to multidisciplinary goals.
Preferred Experience
  • Local experience within the Smyrna area is advantageous to understand community dynamics better.
  • Specialization in family therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in telehealth or virtual counseling platforms is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible working hours, health and wellness programs, and support for continuing education.
