POSITION STATUS: This is a part-time position.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The goal of the Server (Hospitality Specialist) is to create a place of welcome for all guests, provide informed, knowledgeable and timely food and beverage service, while maintaining a safe, clean and tidy setting.


DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrive on time, in proper attire, with a smile, as all three are required to achieve our goal of legendary guest hospitality and service experience.
  • Obtain daily directives by reviewing section schedule, running side duties and daily pre-shift briefings.
  • Head to assigned section and take account to insure order, tidiness and all required details are in place.
  • Provide a Welcome Greeting to the guests that is sincere and unique to T’s insuring that all guests feel at home and comfortable at the start of their T’s experience! WELCOME ALL GUESTS ENTERING THE BUILDING WITH A SMILE AND A HELLO!
  • Introduction to T’s and to you as the guide to the guest experience.
  • Provide knowledgeable, informed beverage and food service selections.
  • Be able to answer questions regarding food and beverage items, allergy protocol, and history.
  • Acquire food and beverage selections, enter to point-of-sale system.
  • Serve beverage with a tray, as the preferred method and food in a timely manner.
  • Insure food and guest safety by maintaining a clean and tidy restaurant throughout the day and by performing side duties at the start and end of each shift following service station overviews and managerial guidance.
  • Observe the guest dining throughout the entire experience with check backs.
  • Become Part of the T’s Team by supporting your teammates and the T’s guest throughout the day keeping in mind that all guests are our guests.
  • Provide a Grateful finale! ALWAYS Thank our guests for choosing to visit T’s. Prepare final check, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable and never at the table).
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant team leader-manager.

Qualifications:

  • A desire to provide genuine hospitality and care of people.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to handle money.

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma with a continuous record of learning.
  • Minimal 2 years of service experience in a full service restaurant.
  • Ability to Speak, Read and Write English.
  • Serve Safe Alcohol Certification

  • Pleasant and polite.
  • Strong guest service skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to coordinate, multitask and remain composed.

Physical Settings and Schedule:

  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (we are very flexible and accommodating to scheduling needs). Must be available for a minimum of three shifts including a weekend shift.
  • Must be able to work year round as this is not a seasonal position.
  • Be able to stand position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
