Job description

Mission: Move earth at scale

Location: Greater Seattle Area (on-site)

Travel: Up to 20% (Global AIM locations)

The Mission

Everything humanity depends on is mined, dug, or grown. At AIM, we are building the autonomous linchpin of civilization. We transform heavy machinery—bulldozers, loaders, excavators—into AI-powered fleets that operate continuously, safely, and at peak performance in the world’s harshest environments.

AIM runs production mines, large scale infrastructure builds, and defense operations as a TRL9 hardened system, not a science experiment.

Built by engineers from mining, construction, Waymo, SpaceX, Google and Tesla, AIM enables scalable earthmoving, turbocharging the global economy’s physical foundation. AIM is backed by some of the most sophisticated capital in the world, including General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, Elad Gil, Human Capital, Ironspring Ventures, Mantis, DCVC.

AIM is on the cutting edge of Physical AI, automating the earthmoving industry — safely, reliably, and at speed — enabling a transformation in an industry that has been largely unchanged for over 100 years. AIM is scaling rapidly across deployments, partnerships, and technical capability. Our autonomy platform operates in mining, construction, military, and extreme-condition environments across the globe. The machines are real. The deployments are live. The proof exists — and now the world needs to see it. Learn more about AIM here.

The Role

AIM is seeking a Head of Marketing to build our external presence from the ground up and match the maturity of our product with the credibility required to transform a century-old industry.

This role will shape AIM’s narrative-building, proof-creation, and category-leadership. You will translate real field deployments and engineering breakthroughs into the most compelling marketing signals in industrial autonomy.

You will own everything external — the website, investor materials, PR strategy, video content, and the systems that make all of it repeatable. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering, Field Operations, and Business Development to turn operational milestones into market moments.

Key Responsibilities:

Build AIM's External Presence

  • Refresh 100% of Tier-1 external-facing assets: website, investor decks, partner materials, and recruiting collateral
  • Ensure every asset reflects the current reality of the product and company trajectory
  • Build and own the foundation visual and narrative consistency of the AIM brand across all channels

Create a Durable Media Engine

  • Build repeatable systems for video capture, deployment documentation, and media asset production
  • Define what moments need to be captured in the field and ensure the pipeline from capture to AIM-plification is reliable
  • Organize and maintain a centralized media asset library that scales

Establish a Single Source of Truth

  • Create and own a centralized marketing asset system with clear ownership, version control, and update processes
  • Eliminate fragmented, outdated materials from circulation

Align PR and Narrative Strategy

  • Work closely with external PR partners to ensure messaging is consistent and tied to product milestones
  • Coordinate announcements, media opportunities, and deployment proof points
  • Track PR output and measure coverage quality

Drive Category Leadership

  • Build a narrative that positions AIM at the forefront of autonomous earthmoving
  • Develop thought leadership content and storytelling that makes the industry feel the transformation is happening now
  • Elevate AIM's recruiting signal alongside its commercial presence

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with a strong track record in B2B, deep tech, or industrial sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to build marketing systems and infrastructure from early-stage foundations
  • Experience translating complex technical products into compelling external narratives
  • Hands-on approach — comfortable operating as both strategist and executor
  • Strong video and content production instincts; you know what makes a deployment video powerful
  • Experience managing external PR, creative, and content partners
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid pace; this role requires prioritization and judgment, not just execution
  • A natural curiosity about hardware, autonomy, and industrial technology

Nice to Have

  • Experience in construction, mining, defense, agriculture, or other heavy industry verticals
  • Background working with autonomous systems, robotics, or industrial software
  • Experience building category narratives for first-mover technology companies
  • Familiarity with production workflows for field documentation and video content

Location & Work Model

This role is primarily onsite, based in or around Seattle, WA. We strongly prefer candidates local to the Seattle area who can regularly work on-site with the team.

Remote candidates will be considered for the right profile. If remote, this role requires willingness to travel regularly to our Washington operations and to active customer deployment sites in field environments.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 30 days, you will have met every key stakeholder, audited all existing assets and media, identified the biggest gaps between what AIM is achieving and what the world sees, and delivered an initial marketing assessment and 90-day roadmap.

By 60 days, repeatable systems for content creation, asset management, and PR coordination will be in place. By 90 days, AIM's external presence will have begun to match the scale and ambition of the company — and you will have built the foundation for it to keep growing.

Why AIM?
  • Impact: You are building the autonomous infrastructure that powers the global economy, one of the most consequential applications of autonomy in the physical world.
  • Real World Impact: The proof of the product exists, your job is to make the world see it
  • Pedigree: Work alongside serial business builders, pioneers from Google, Waymo, SpaceX, Tesla, heavy ecosystem. You will have direct ownership of a marketing function with real organizational influence.
  • Maturity: Join a TRL9 company with real-world production systems and global revenue. You are joining at the moment AIM is scaling, this role shapes the company's public identity from the ground up
  • Equity and Headroom: Significant upside in a company solving a 100-trillion-dollar problem.

AIM sits at the intersection of sci-fi future, childlike wonder and industrial reality — where a 100-ton machine operating autonomously isn't a concept, it's Tuesday. We are serious about transforming industry. If that excites you, this is where you belong.
