Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptional Technology Design Specialist to join our successful and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Revit and have project management capabilities. In this role you will coordinate our project efforts, documenting the design and construction progress with reports and meeting minutes, as well as facilitating the flow of design and construction-related information in our office.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department head and project managers to drive project outcomes, fostering a highly collaborative approach.
  • Technology Design tasks utilizing Revit and AutoCAD or Bluebeam.
  • Review project documents, understanding intent and expectations of clients.
  • Assist in reviewing product data and shop drawing submittals.
  • Assist in review and response to RFI’s, CPR’s, ASI’s, and RFP’s.
  • Perform QA/ QC reviews of project documents during multiple phases of design.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with design of data centers and network operation centers.
  • Comprehension of documentation, plans, and specifications for data center facilities.
  • Familiarity of applicable codes, standards, and best practices for high-performance computer centers.
  • Experience with integrating requirements of architects, engineers, stakeholders and service providers.
  • Experience designing structured cabling, wireless access, IOT, carrier systems
  • Experience designing access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems
  • Familiarity with switching and routing standards preferred but not required
  • Current BICSI RCDD or DCDC certification or relative work experience in data center or NOC designs.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Revit
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam preferred 

Location: Houston, TX

Travel: Up to 5%
