The Partner, Sales Strategic Initiatives is responsible for advancing key strategic initiatives across the Global Sales organization, supporting the execution of Air Canada's commercial priorities and New Frontiers 2030 objectives. This role serves as a strategic advisor and project lead for the Head of Global Sales and Director, Sales Enablement Strategy, leading cross-functional initiatives, executive reporting, stakeholder engagement, and organizational planning activities.

The incumbent acts as a central point of coordination between Global Sales and key commercial and operational branches, ensuring strategic projects are aligned, governed effectively, and executed successfully. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve sales performance, strengthen alignment with Network Planning, advance strategic programs, and provide executive-level analysis, recommendations, and communications to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional efforts across Commercial and Operations teams to advance strategic priorities and achieve Global Sales objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, accelerate growth, enhance customer value propositions, and support Air Canada's New Frontiers 2030 strategy.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and consultant to the Head of Global Sales, Director, Sales Enablement Strategy, and broader Commercial leadership team.
  • Develop business cases, executive recommendations, project plans, and strategic roadmaps to support decision-making and prioritization.
  • Act as the AI Champion for Global Sales by Identifying opportunities to leverage AI technology towards automation, process improvements, and to overall increase productivity and strengthen organizational performance.

Strategic Projects & Transformation

  • Lead strategic initiatives on behalf of Global Sales from concept development through implementation, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish project objectives, deliverables, timelines, success metrics, and stakeholder engagement plans for major initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate and advance opportunities that support revenue growth, sales effectiveness, customer value, and Air Canada's New Frontiers 2030 objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working groups and governance forums to drive alignment, resolve challenges, and ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and ensure initiatives deliver intended business outcomes.

Commercial Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Commercial, Operations, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Customer Experience, Marketing, Airports and other key branches.
  • Strengthen alignment between Global Sales and internal stakeholders to support strategic priorities, market development opportunities, and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with sales leaders and field teams to gather customer and agency feedback, identify market opportunities, and incorporate frontline insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities to secure buy-in, foster collaboration, and support successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Translate commercial and network objectives into actionable plans that drive customer, revenue, and organizational outcomes.

Executive Analysis, Communications & Performance Management

  • Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership audiences.
  • Translate complex data, market intelligence, and project outcomes into concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure progress against strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance results, emerging trends, and evolving business priorities.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal communications that influence stakeholders, support decision-making, and communicate project progress effectively.

Strategic Advisory & Leadership Support

  • Act as a strategic advisor and consultant to the Head of Global Sales, Director, Market Development & Sales Strategy, and broader Commercial leadership team.
  • Serve as delegate and proxy in meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional forums, representing the interests and priorities of Global Sales.
  • Lead analyses and strategic reviews to support organizational planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and decision-making.
  • Support annual planning activities, leadership presentations, business reviews, and special projects.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, AI, and process improvements to strengthen organizational effectiveness and execution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in airline commercial role: Revenue Management, Network Planning, Product Distribution, Digital and Ecommerce or Sales.
  • Very strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate various sources of data
  • Strong Presentation Skills for Senior Leadership audience
  • Highly organized, strong abilities to follow up and engage with various stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of Air Canada ‘s organization
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
