Job description

Senior Director, Clinical Science - Lung (Oncology)Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across the lung disease area (multiple studies/programs/assets).
  • Contribute disease area strategy: development opportunities, scientific considerations, portfolio risks, and implications of emerging data.
  • Apply lung cancer expertise (disease biology, treatment landscape, clinically meaningful endpoints) to guide study planning, data interpretation, and issue resolution.
  • Standardize Clinical Science approaches and ensure scientific consistency (medical data review, interpretation principles, key deliverables), while allowing program-specific needs.
  • Provide senior scientific guidance across studies/programs; support protocol development/amendments, study design, endpoint/eligibility/biomarker discussions.
  • Contribute to portfolio governance and senior leadership reviews with cross-study insights.
  • Provide people leadership/management (as appropriate) and build capabilities through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Experience
  • PhD or PharmD + at least 7 years lung oncology drug development experience; OR Master's degree + 12 years.
  • Significant Clinical Development/Clinical Science/oncology development experience in pharma/biotech.
  • Demonstrated lung cancer expertise and strong clinical trial design/data review & oncology data interpretation.
  • Experience integrating information across studies/programs; cross-functional leadership in matrix environments.
