Job description

 Packaging Fill Machine Line Operator 2nd shiftSummary: Operates filling line equipment for cleaners and disinfectants by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for reviewing production work orders, pulling and staging materials that are required to produce the work orders, and ensuring proper quality and productivity levels are met.
  • Responsible for setting up and adjusting equipment in the course of duties to assure accurate and efficient completion of work orders.
  • Verify all materials are accurately staged in accordance with work order requirements.
  • 2nd shift position. M-Th 3:00pm - 1:00am (4 ten hour days). Your weekends are free!

Filling equipment:

  • Hook up equipment to product source: Tote or Bulk tank.
  • Adjust pump pressure to filling machinery.
  • Adjust filler nozzles to accommodate container height and fill level.
  • Verify fill levels and maintain proper levels through production run.
  • Adjust conveyor guide rails.
  • Upon completion of a production run flush and clean all equipment in accordance with company procedures.

Capping equipment:

  • Adjust feed guides and capper height.
  • Adjust tightener – height and roller gap.
  • Sealer – adjust height – verify seal.

Bottle Date Coder:

  • Enter proper date code.
  • Adjust print head to locate print on bottle.

Bottle Labeler:

  • Install labels.
  • Align feed conveyor and out take conveyor.
  • Adjust position of the label on the container.

Carton machine:

  • Adjust Machine to fit carton.
  • Align outtake conveyor guides, center to cartoner.

Carton Labeler:

  • Install label rolls.
  • Align feed conveyor and out take conveyor.
  • Adjust position of the label on the box.

Carton Printer:

  • Enter in Product, size and date code.
  • Align printer to carton.

Perform work assigned in accordance to company production standards and rates.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area as established by plant policy.

Must adhere to all company safety and health policies, including wearing proper PPE at all times. Waterproof, slip resistant steel toed shoes are required. Line Operators may be required to be fit tested for respirators and will be required to follow all rules for proper respirator fit including rules regarding facial hair.

Utilizes company equipment with proper use and care, notifies maintenance of any equipment needs to ensure safe operation.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
