JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for stocking Housekeeper's closets with clean linens, removing soiled linens,

removing trash, vacuuming and dusting hallways & assigned building entrance, and ensuring all

glass ware is cleaned daily and in Housekeeper's closets, in addition to cleaning all

Housekeeping closets, assigned balconies and glass doors.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Dust, sweep and clean patios in assigned buildings.
  2. Stock all linen and terry for Housekeepers in storage closets as it becomes available.
  3. Place all cribs in rooms.
  4. Strip guest rooms that are checking out and remove all dirty linen/terry and trash.
  5. Vacuum and dust stairwells and hallways.
  6. Remove all dirty linens, towels, etc. from hallways, chutes and all other areas and sort for linen company to pick-up.
  7. Respond to all radio calls promptly.
  8. Stock guest supplies, toilet paper, Kleenex and all other items in storage closets.
  9. Clean, stock and lock closets at the end of each day.
  10. Leave storage closets, shelves, floors and equipment in an orderly fashion at all times.
  11. Accommodate guest requests for housekeeping items or additional supplies expediently and courteously. Follow up on delivery and return of all such items.
  12. Assist with cleaning beds, vacuuming guest rooms and dusting when called upon.
  13. Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to work 5-7 days per week in rotational shifts if needed, including holidays and
  3. weekends.
  4. Proven ability to:
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Prioritize and organize.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understand guest service needs and solve them proactively.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Housekeeping, preferably at a Forbes rated or 4 Diamond property.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees must learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
