Job description

The Residence Host will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous residence guests, patrons and visitors in accordance with and deliverance of CORE Quality Experiences. The Residence Host acts as both a guide and a gatekeeper to the hidden wonders of Birdwood Mansion. When not tending day's tasks, one will be preparing the house for the next intimate gathering.
Major responsibilities:
  • Greeting and escorting guests promptly to their destination and requests
  • Conducts and provide in historical information by storytelling and shared experiences. Act as a guide when guests ask for directions and physically assist them to their destination within the hotel.
  • Create special conversations with guests which identify personal preferences to record, address and act upon in each guest's profile history in property's management system
  • Be proactive and anticipate the complete requirements to make the experience a success.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating with and assisting team members as needed.
  • Demonstrate firsthand knowledge of the recommendations with thorough research.
  • Stay current with daily information, activities and happenings in the Mansion and Boar's Head Resort by attending daily briefings and reviewing Investing Excellence fact sheet regularly.
  • Provide quality service with team members to the guests by responding to requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during pre-arrival, arrival, dining, departure and throughout the guest's experience.
  • Arrange fulfillment of guest's services by working with Dining, Housekeeping, Guest Experience Call Center, Sales and culinary team members.
  • Handle guests incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Communicate clearly with daily shift notes, night auditor and Accounts Department.
  • Perform assistance to patrons of Dining Room, and guests In-Room Dining order taking and housekeeping requests.
  • Oversee Dining Reservations and administer Dining table management system by coordination with Sales & Events booking order.
  • Handle cash drawer properly as outlined in the Boar's Head Resort Accounting standard operating procedures.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Residence and Residence Manager.

Requirements
  • 2 years of hotel and restaurant experience.
  • Able to communicate written and spoken English.
  • Excellent overall communication skills d. Able to multi-task.
  • Strong desire excellent guest service.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.

Salary Description
