Position Overview:
As an HDD Operator/Locator, you will be responsible for safely operating HDD rigs, accurately locating and guiding the drill path, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the project. Your experience will be key in helping us complete complex installations while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain HDD rigs for trenchless installations
  • Commitment to 'no fault' utility strikes
  • Interpret project plans, ensuring accurate bore paths and alignments
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager and foreman to ensure efficient workflow
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Maintain and adhere to safety standards and protocols on every job
  • Document daily reports and job progress accurately

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in HDD operations and locating
  • Solid understanding of HDD rig operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with Falcon F5 locating equipment
  • Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and schematics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Vermeer HDD rigs and tooling
  • Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement preferred
