Job Description:
Ideal Home Care Services is a leading provider of in-home care services, dedicated to bringing peace of mind to clients and their families. We are seeking a reliable and compassionate TBI/NHTD Caregiver to join our dynamic team and provide one-on-one in-home support for clients living with traumatic brain injuries and related cognitive or behavioral health challenges.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide non-medical in-home support for clients with TBI, cognitive impairment, mobility issues
  • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Maintain a structured, calm, low-conflict environment
  • Use redirection and de-escalation techniques
  • Support routines that reduce confusion, agitation, impulsivity, and overstimulation
  • Observe behavior changes and report concerns promptly to the care team
  • Document care accurately and professionally
  • Build trust with both client and family while maintaining boundaries and consistency

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience caring for clients with TBI, memory impairment, mental health diagnoses, or behavioral challenges (TBI/NHTD Certification)
  • Comfortable working in homes where emotional regulation, structure, and safety awareness are important
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally to difficult situations
  • Strong communication, patience, and observation skills

Requirements:
  • HHA/PCA Certificate
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts
  • Fluent English
  • COVID Vaccination
  • Current physical including MMR vaccination, Quantiferon or PPD, and a current drug screen.

Compensation and Schedules:
  • Schedules: 12-hour shifts (8-8 or 9-9) day and overnights
  • Compensation: $23 plus benefits
