What is HCA verification?

HCA verification is the process of confirming the credentials, background, and eligibility of a Home Care Aide (HCA) before they can provide care services. This typically includes checking state registry status, criminal background, training completion, and sometimes employment history. The process ensures that HCAs meet regulatory requirements and are qualified to work in home care settings, helping protect clients and maintain care quality. Employers, state agencies, and sometimes clients themselves may perform HCA verification through official databases or agencies.
