Physical Therapist | HCA Florida Northwest Hospital Margate, FL

Physical Therapist | HCA Florida Northwest Hospital Margate, FL Full-Time | Days (Rotating Weekends) | Salary: $36.53 to $53.20/hr (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: Case by case Fee: 20% of annual salary

Overview

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is a 289-bed medical center recognized for excellence in patient care. The facility holds the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, is a certified Primary Stroke Center, and an accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital is also a Comprehensive Bariatric Center of Excellence, offering high-quality, patient-centered care using the latest healthcare technology.

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our acute care team, providing individualized therapeutic care to patients across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice and professional code of ethics
  • Assess and evaluate patients therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with physicians and the care team
  • Provide skilled therapeutic care, using interventions and techniques to improve patient condition/function
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, therapeutic devices, and techniques for use outside of sessions
  • Prioritize caseload, coordinate daily staffing needs, and manage assignments and handoffs
Qualifications
  • Current Physical Therapy license
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start)
  • Experience in high-acuity or acute care hospital settings
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
