Job description

Join Western Engineering Co Inc as a CDL Service Truck Driver with HazMat and Tanker endorsements and become a vital part of our team! Your role will be dynamic and engaging, ensuring that our projects run smoothly by transporting, handling, and managing the fuel, water and oil needs of the paving crew. Responsibilities
  • Operate service trucks safely and efficiently, transporting hazardous materials and tanker loads to construction sites
  • Adhere strictly to HazMat and Tanker regulations and safety standards, ensuring compliance at all times
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment
  • Manage loading and unloading processes safely, following all company policies and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and vehicle maintenance
  • Communicate proactively with dispatchers, project managers, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
  • Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately
  • Assist with general service tasks on-site as needed to support the team

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols for hazardous materials and tanker operations
  • Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and professionalism
  • 1+ years of experience operating service trucks, preferably in construction or related industries
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading, unloading, and vehicle maintenance
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to job sites as required
  • Pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
