Catering & Event Staff - Goode Company Restaurants

Looking for a fun, fast paced environment? Want to see what goes on behind the scenes at weddings, sports events, and other large scale events? We’re an established catering and events team looking for quality hard working staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure exemplary guest service through all forms of banquet service, carving stations, running food during events, buffets, replenishing product and supplies in compliance with event standards.
  • Event Staff will be cross trained in the following positions:
    1. Server, Buffet Line, Kitchen Prep, Event setup, Event tear down, Busser.
  • Enthusiastically greet and direct guests while performing assigned tasks (providing directions).
  • Properly stores and transports food adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all events are properly equipped and executed by transporting, pulling, setting up, and breaking down, as well as returning equipment to designated storages in compliance with event standards and instructions.
  • Clean, organize and restock equipment/product returning from catering events.
  • Identify and respond to emergencies according to proper protocols.
  • Creatively resolve issues/obstacles and involve supervisor as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and presentable area for serving, staging and cooking areas.
  • Adhere to Goode Co. policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Valid Texas Food Handler Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Must have a friendly disposition and a smile
  • Must be able to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations
  • Clean cut look. No facial piercings, ear gauges, radical hair colors or face/neck tattoo’s
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Experience in prior customer service preferred
  • Must be able to speak English, Spanish a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete and pebble
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to heights, elevators, in darkened corridors, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights, and haze effects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
