Location: Hillsboro, OR (Intel Campus)
Pay: Temp-Hire starts at $23 and hires in at $25-$34
Shift: 3rd Shift Rotating Schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule Options:

  • Front Half Nights: Every other Saturday through Tuesday
  • Back Half Nights: Wednesday through every other Saturday
  • Rotating 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and safety-focused HAZWOPER/Material Handlers to support waste handling operations and environmental services at the Intel campus in Hillsboro, OR. This role is responsible for waste management activities, chemical onloads and offloads, preventative maintenance, inspections, rounds and readings, and maintaining compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience working in industrial, environmental, chemical, or hazardous waste environments and demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and required PPE standards.
  • Report incidents, safety concerns, and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Complete chemical onloads and offloads safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine rounds and readings and document findings.
  • Follow work instructions, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with RCRA, DOT, OSHA, and company regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support as needed.
  • Support waste handling, transportation, and material management activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous waste handling experience preferred.
  • Science-related degree and/or environmental experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification or annual refresher preferred.
  • OSHA training preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and successfully pass respirator fit testing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle and move 55-gallon drums safely.
  • Must pass a company physical examination and drug screening.
