Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm. Overtime as needed on Fridays.
$18.50 per hour.
Hayes Manufacturing is looking for an Assembly Technician at our Fife Lake, MI location. The Assembly Technician builds and puts together mechanical components and systems by following technical instructions, blueprints, or schematics. You''ll use hand and power tools to assemble parts, conduct quality checks, and sometimes perform repairs or troubleshooting on the finished products. This role is essential in manufacturing, where assemblers ensure products are built precisely, efficiently, and meet safety standards, while applying lean principles to all areas of responsibility.
What You'll Do:
• Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions to build and assemble parts.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pick, pull, and package product according to Hayes or Customer procedures.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect parts and finished products for defects and ensuring they meet specifications
• Verify that all necessary components are present based on Bill of Material (BOM).
• Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe
• Work with other team members to complete assembly tasks and improve assembly processes for efficiency.
What You'll Need:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with warehouse operations.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Mathematical abilities.
